We are proud to feature a 3200 square foot Chanel boutique designed by noted architect Peter Marino offering iconic handbags, eyewear, ready-to-wear, shoes and cosmetics; Etc, an open 1200 square foot space offering an evolving selection of handpicked personal and home luxury items of-the-moment; a cool, modern 1100 square foot shoe lab which boasts the most sought-after and touted shoe collections both sides of the Atlantic; a 650 square foot signature black and white Versace shop; a 400 square foot Brunello Cucinelli men’s and women’s shop; a J. Mendel boutique; a Jimmy Choo boutique; a warm ebonized-walnut Chrome Hearts shop; an elegant evening boutique featuring the eveningwear of Reem Acra, Monique Lhuillier, Rafael Cennamo, Azzaro and KaufmanFranco, to name a few; a jewelry shop-in-shop which offers the hand-crafted organic jewels of Loree Rodkin, Sevan, Aurora Lopez Mejia, Mark Davis, Irene Neuwirth, Kristen Farrell and Hoorsenbuhs, among others. Founded by Jacob Hirshleifer in 1903 as a retail furrier located on Manhattan Avenue in Brooklyn, today’s fifth generation family-owned and operated Hirshleifers still has the Hirshleifer family minding the store, in the persons of Lillian (Merchandising/Buying), her three daughters, Shelley (Operations), Caryn (Counsel/PR and Marketing) and Lori (Buying/Development), and Lillian’s grand-daughter, Marci (Buying). A family completely devoted to managing the business, each member brings to it her own unique style and individual talents. The business is currently staffed by 60 employees, including 20 sales associates, 8 managers, and administrative and alterations personnel.

Servicing an ever-increasing client base that draws predominantly from the New York tri-state area, Hirshleifers offers a unique selling environment in an elegant, yet comfortable setting, where product knowledge, customer familiarity and attention to detail yield superior customer service. Proud of its philanthropic activities, Hirshleifers supports many local organizations from Project ALS, to Old Westbury Gardens, to the Long Island Council on Alcohol and Drug Dependence.

Hirshleifers was featured on the premier episode of Bravo Channel/WNBC’s hit television show Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, has served as the filming venue for two episodes of TLC’s hit series, A Makeover Story, and has appeared on CNN’s segment on “Fall Shopping.” Hirshleifers is also regularly quoted in the New York Times, Women’s Wear Daily, W Magazine, and other publications as a fashion resource.
