E T C OPENING EVENT
Ponder this: if a party to celebrate a store opening is held after the store opens, would it be called an opening party or an after party? When the party is as rockin as the ETC bash that took place this past Thursday night at Hirshleifers, I don’t think anyone cares.
The space was transformed for the evening to create the feel of a club with robotic strobes and circular bar tables. A green display platform served as the stage for singer and recording artist Kim Sozzi, who rocked the crowd with her #1 Billboard dance single of 2009, Feel Your Love. DJ Razor spun, mixed and kept the beat. Both were on top of their game.

Over 250 clients and friends joined Shelley, Caryn and Lori Hirshleifer to celebrate the opening of their n
ew lifestyle shop. Cut to its essence, ETC is a space tres hip,
presenting an ever-changing assortment of hand-selected personal and home luxury items of the moment. ETC features clothing from Katy Rodriguez, The Row, Rag & Bone, Phillip Lim, Golden Goose, Boy, Acne, R13, objects found in the home by iconic designer Piero Fornasetti,
Cire Trudon scented candles, Assouline and Taschen books that engage and entertain, and Visionaire limited edition pieces that meld fashion and art. It provides a vibrant, multi-sensory retail experience where clients can spend time moving among mini-collections of very cool clothing and objects.

Brits Caroline Burstein, of Brown’s of London and daughter Natasha Collis, whose fabulous gems are available for sale at Hirshleifers, were on hand. They were joined by Lynne Sable of Chrome Hearts, as well as friends from Chanel, Phillip Lim, Giorgio Brato, Pucci, Cesare Paciotti, Golden Goose, Boy, R13, Miu Miu, Balenciaga, Giussepe Zanotti, L’Agence and Dolce & Gabbana. Visionary Americana shopping center owner Frank Castagna and wife Rita, and their staff were present as were Charles Laspata and Rocco DeCaro, co-creative directors of the advertising agency Laspata DeCaro.
