Red Carpet Ready

Jan 22, 2010

The red carpet never ceases to amaze with a sense of fantasy and all-out glamour, no matter what the world’ state of affairs.  Its here where our imagination comes alive –- starlets alight the crimson walkway in dazzling numbers for just a few short hours, and yet manage to leave indelible marks in countless images seen by millions.  Its here where a designer’s’ vision, usually limited to a runway seen only by editors and buyers, is now available for all the world to see, and oh!  How that designer’’s vision translates into wonder, beauty and unfailingly great design.

The red carpet regulars are just that –- designers who consistently hit the mark each season, and time after time produce gowns, bags, shoes and jewelry that leaves the audience breathless.  It’s no wonder that designers like J. Mendel (whose message for the spring season can succinctly be stated as “”each piece is an emotion,”)— can make us all a bit weak in the knees with a floor length gown like the one worn by Selita Ebanks at the New Yorkers for Children’s Event, or Diane Kruger and Demi Moore, who dazzled in shorter styles that were playful, yet oh-so-sexy.

And who can forget about the pièce de résistance of a red carpet look?  Jewelry, by its very nature, is the eye catching topper for any ensemble, and the designers that grace the limbs of celebrities are a rarefied few.  Its no surprise, then, that Loree Rodkin, whose pieces have been donned by the most elite of the A list crew, is a red carpet regular.  Just earlier this week, at the 2010 Golden Globes, Christina Hendricks was spotted wearing these stunners by the designer.

At Hirshleifers, with its history of exquisite taste and roster of coveted luxury brands, you’’ll find your one-stop-shop for red carpet ready looks.  From clutches to earrings, to gowns to high heels, your red carpet moment awaits.
