Utilitarian Chic

Jan 25, 2010

This week, we are highlighting one of our favorite trends, Utilitarian Chic.  Why our favorite, you ask?  Aside from being incredibly easy to wear, more than likely you have the basic elements of this look in your wardrobe already, and all you need to spruce up your look for spring are one or two key items.

Khaki Chic for Spring 2010 finds most of its inspiration from uniforms – and Juliette Gordon Low, founder of the Girl Scouts, may be its biggest inspiration of all.  And though this style has been an important movement in fashion for quite a while, the best new looks this time around are updated twists on the classics, such as those seen on the runways of Celine and Chloe.

Need a great trench for the upcoming rainy season?  Hirshleifers has it.  Need a new pair of slim fitting khaki pants?  Hirshleifers got it.  Now’s the time to update your look!
