Eye on the Buy: Lori Hirshleifer Reporting from Front Row at Chanel Fall 2010 Show

I happen to be into fashion, but whether you are or not, it doesn’t get any more exciting than a Chanel runway show at the Grand Palais on Avenue Winston Churchill in Paris.  There’s this buzz in the air, this excitement that you can feel, as if all of fashion week is waiting for this event.  You know something incredible is going to happen.  The Palais quickly fills with guests, editors, celebrities like Lindsay Lohan and Vanessa Paradis, and anyone lucky enough to have gotten an invitation, this collection’s invitation showing off a large polar bear on its front.  I found my place, honored to be seated in the front row next to Burt Tansky, President and CEO of the Neiman Marcus Group

The show’s starting.  Here goes: 

45 minutes fly by.  You know you’ve witnessed creative genius.   It’s so cool to be a part of it.
