Sevan Bicakci, known in the jewelry world as “lord of the rings,” began his career in jewelry design at the age 12 when he served as an apprentice to a jeweler in a small workshop in Istanbul. In 2002 he debuted his first personal collection which was inspired by the Grand Bazaar and Sultanhamet areas of his native Istanbul. Since then his meticulously crafted designs have become the focus of attention of collectors throughout the world. He won the prestigious Town & Country Award three times in the Gemstone category in the years 2006, 2007 and 2008 respectively. Sevan Bicakci employs techniques like intaglio carving and micro-mosaic to create rings that contain one-of-a-kind miniature portraits and carved cities, among other things, using precious metals and unique cut stones. His jewels have become collectible and can be found in museums and private collections worldwide.
